Which shock absorbers are better to install on the VAZ-2114: choosing shock absorbers based on price and quality

Which racks to choose for the Lada Granta - install normal spare parts

Selecting quality parts for car maintenance and repair is an important task for every motorist. In order for the car restoration to be high-quality and durable, it is better to use the most interesting options for parts with a sufficiently high quality. It is worth remembering that the reliability of spare parts determines their service life, as well as the quality of operation. Unfortunately, the cost of parts also greatly depends on this factor. Today we will talk about the racks that are best used on the Lada Grant. Considering the fact that factory suspension elements fail after a maximum of 50,000 kilometers, you have to look for something more interesting and non-standard. You can buy factory solutions again only under warranty, when you will receive a free replacement and will not charge money directly for the racks.

Today you can buy a shock absorber liner from any manufacturer, including some of the most amazing brands from around the world. In this case, it is not necessary to change the rack assembly; you can make a constructor by installing an insert of a specific selected type. This will completely change the behavior of the car. The stock shock absorbers on the Grant are simply amazing - they behave exactly as the Lada 2110 did back in 1998. There have been no significant changes in the suspension. At least regarding the struts and operating comfort of the car. There are different brands and specific recommendations for the types of racks. Let's take a closer look at each aspect of purchasing new suspension parts. This will help you better service your car and obtain the necessary features for operating a vehicle.

Lada Granta Generic Car › Logbook › KYB shock absorbers (all)

A few words about standard oil shock absorbers. I almost understood the idea of engineers who equip cars with oil shock absorbers that work only on compression. The main idea: “Domestic roads - domestic cars.” They are made so that the wheel quickly falls into the hole, and the weight of the car falls on top of it, and then the shock absorber is triggered. It is both logical and justified. Next, the characteristics are selected to make it soft and comfortable.

Further, this figure-eight design, developed in 1984, due to its ideality, is still being replicated. Well, okay. But even an ideal part gets old and stops working as it should. So on my car, at 58 tkm, the front left leaked and stopped working.

So what's the deal? Buy and install new ones... We go to one of the online stores, enter the shock absorber number 21900-2905003-00 or 21900-2905002-00 and see the picture...

ѢѢ, how is that possible?! Or did I find the wrong part number? Compatriots from AvtoVAZ! Have you lost the forest behind some trees? Let me remind you: the Granta is the cheapest car from the Volga Automobile Plant for the mass Russian consumer. It's not even a Toyota Corolla!

In general, I’m not ready to support a domestic manufacturer for that amount and for the characteristics offered. And since I’ve been riding Kayaba shock absorbers for many years (sorry for the distraction, but in 2009 the VAZ-kopek used Kyb Gas-a-Just) I decided to install them on Granta as well. And to ensure front-rear consistency, I bought Kyb for the front and rear. Part numbers: Front right shock absorber Kyb Excel-G 3310002 (3500 RUR/piece) Front left shock absorber Kyb Excel-G 3310003 (3500 RUR/piece) Rear shock absorber Kyb Excel-G 341824 (1500 RUR/piece) A set of new bolts for two struts (350 RUR for 2 pcs.) Shock absorber support Sasic 2650038 (314 RUR for 2 pcs.)

Everything is bolt-on, i.e. without modifications. No collective farm, no files and curses.

Then I took all this to a car service center, where they were installed. The mats were there when 3 of the 4 shock absorbers did not unscrew properly. Therefore, the bolts on the front ones were cut off, and the rear bolts were cut off along the rod between the spring coils. We had a fight, set it up, and did the geometry.

What did you get. Some will say harshly. Yes, indeed, “nervousness” appeared. Due to the lightness of the body, with these shock absorbers the Grant now repeats the profile of the road surface in too much detail. Although I wouldn't say I'm uncomfortable. But now there is silence in the cabin, no rocking or diving when braking. For my taste, the car handles better this way.

I didn't take any photos of the spare parts. If anyone wants, I’ll post how it’s already in place.

Total budget for the event: Spare parts 10,664 rubles, auto repair services 4,000 rubles.

Conducted an in-depth study of prices for today

And then it starts to burst with me: Which shock absorber number is correct? How can I enter the VIN in the spare parts catalog so that it shows only the number of my spare part, and not the group? AlexBarnaul, I’m not being dramatic, I’m just bombarded))) - this is a response to a comment

Oil or gas-oil - the first question that needs to be resolved

If you take inexpensive racks that are made in Russia or China, then there are virtually no differences between oil and gas-oil. But when you buy products from a great brand, you can notice a very noticeable difference. In particular, gas-oil will be a very tough sports solution. Oil shock absorbers offer customers a number of specific advantages that will be important in the operation of vehicles:

  • quite high ride comfort, which can be called significant progress for the Lada Granta, overcoming most potholes without noticeable effects in the car interior;
  • low level of penetration, that is, you will not catch unpleasant sounds when the rack shows its long free stroke, there is no risk of breakage;
  • the rod stroke is quite long, it is possible to hang the wheels almost like an SUV, this helps on large bumps and dirt roads;
  • your Lada Granta will not only become softer, but will also be able to transmit information about the road more energy-intensively, there is no intrusive data, only the necessary details;
  • The cost of oil shock absorbers is often slightly lower than gas-oil shock absorbers, which is why the vast majority of domestic car owners buy them.

Of course, it all depends on the brand. You can buy an excellent Japanese version of the insert and get simply wonderful operating possibilities. There is the option of purchasing a cheap Chinese rack and being completely disappointed in its use. But for now, let's limit ourselves to making a decision on the type of shock absorber. It can be a soft oil or a sports gas-oil type.

Excel-G ruler

As motorists say, these are the most durable racks that can be found for similar money. Indeed, testing shows that under moderate loads the racks last quite a long time. Even though they should be classified as gas shock absorbers, they are not too hard. For example, Excel-G is the softest, Gas-a-Just is stiffer, Ultra-SR is intended only for sports driving.

Before purchasing, you should definitely look at consumer reviews. Kayaba Excel-G shock absorbers are considered inexpensive, and they are very often installed on domestic cars. Drivers also often note that this is the golden mean. There is both comfort while driving and a sufficient level of rigidity for good vehicle handling. I can definitely recommend it for purchase, especially considering the affordable price. Although sometimes there are also negative reviews. Kayaba shock absorbers on VAZ are relatively inexpensive, so struts are often counterfeited. It is advisable to buy from a dealer.

Manufacturer is one of the most difficult questions for the buyer

Buying unusual, expensive shock absorbers is becoming a necessity today. In conditions of very tough competition and the global crisis in the automotive market, cheap companies are starting to produce worse and worse spare parts. Therefore, the products of some corporations have long ceased to be reliable and of high quality. It is worth highlighting the following brands as an ideal solution for Lada Granta when purchasing racks:

  • KYB - you can combine separate liners with a stock strut and you will get an almost full-fledged Kayaba, the shock absorbers are very durable and high quality;
  • Acomi is a fairly affordable brand, but much better than Chinese solutions, a completely acceptable solution if you choose an expensive series like Comfort PRO;
  • SS20 - the company makes special racks for the Granta, so they fit perfectly, quite adequate quality, but there are many fakes and a number of shortcomings in movement;
  • Demfi - not so durable, but quite affordable racks, which are also ideal for the Lada Granta, quite high-quality performance, but you need a choice;
  • Plaza is one of the cheapest options of more or less decent quality, but only some kits from the manufacturer are pleased with their reliability and durability.

So there are not many chances to choose from brands. Of course, you can try Monroe struts or buy some racing solutions from France and Germany. But this will be too expensive. The same as Kayaba, but this solution is classic, and is simply perfect for the Lada Granta. If you have enough money for a Japanese manufacturer, buy their offers for your car.

A little history

The Japanese company Kayaba, like any well-known brand, has a very rich history. In 1919, a young Japanese man named Shira Kayaba opened his own research center. The main area of activity was hydrodynamics, which most interested the young genius.

1927 is the year KAYABA Seisakusho was founded. Since that time, active sales of catapults, dampers operating on the hydraulic principle, and a number of other equipment for the aviation industry began.

The success of production prompted Kayaba to expand its capacity and create a larger organization - KAYABA Manufacturing Co, which employed 180 specialists. It was during that period that the first shock absorber prototype appeared.

By 1943, a powerful plant was built, located in the southern part of Gifu. Three years later (after the end of the war), the KAYABA company received a very large order for the production of two dozen shock absorbers.

High-quality work made it possible to begin mass production already in 1947.

Over the next few years, the company persistently followed the vector of development and improvement of product quality. So, in 1956, a special department of the company called Kayaba Auto Service Co. appeared. His task was to develop sports shock absorbers for both cars and motorcycles.

Since 1958, the company created another branch, Nihon Koki Co., Ltd, which dealt exclusively with mining equipment, and in 1961 a new one was built for the production of concrete mixers, grinders and other special-purpose equipment.

Over the next ten years, the company opened three more factories in Japan and expanded its production several times, and in 1974 the first branch was opened in the United States.

The efforts of the developers did not go unnoticed, and in 1980 the KAYABA company deservedly received the Deming Prize. After this, new factories appeared in Spain, mass production was launched in Malaysia, and new enterprises began to open in the USA, Germany and Thailand.

In 1996, four companies received a special TRM prize, and in 1998, all Kayaba factories had ISO 9001 certificates.

Over the next years, KAYABA offices are opening all over the world - in China, Thailand and Mexico. Year after year, new branches and subsidiaries appeared, production, product quality and, accordingly, demand grew.

In 2006, a representative office was opened in Moscow, and by 2008, the KAYABA and KYB trademarks were officially registered in the customs register.

In 2011, a new representative office appeared in Kazakhstan.

Today Kayaba is the largest player in the automotive products market and cooperates with many well-known manufacturers. This is a world-famous product that is in demand and has unique quality.

Springs and strut supports for Lada Granta - choose the best

It is better to install original springs. No manufacturer offers the same accuracy as VAZ in this case. There is only one reason for this - no one wants a manufacturer of springs specifically for Grants to do it efficiently and cheaply. Therefore, you have to give preference to stock solutions. As for the upper and ball joints of the Lada Granta struts, it is worth paying attention to the following features:

  • the upper supports of the front struts are most often installed in Russian SS20, there are options for using more expensive solutions, but this purchase takes a long time;
  • but the rear upper supports for shock absorbers are not easy to find, the Acomi company will help you here, but it is better to contact the officials and buy what was originally in your car;
  • VAZ ball joints are no good and cost 20-30 thousand, so it’s better to buy Belmag or Forward, which are made in Russia and cost very affordable money;
  • you can also choose German Kraft ball joints, but here you should beware of fakes, so always choose parts based on price and quality with a specialist;
  • It is better to buy any small details such as fasteners, bolts, nuts and washers from the factory, as otherwise you may simply not reassemble the car properly after disassembly.

There is an opinion that factory spare parts are always better than analog ones. But in the case of the Lada Granta this is not at all the case. Sometimes you can find quite adequate spare parts that fit Granta from German and Japanese brands. And then you can buy really wonderful additions and parts that last for years. However, any part has its own service life, and this also needs to be remembered.

Replacing Lada Granta struts and supports - several important features

If the rear suspension is more or less clear, then the front suspension always hides more mysteries. It is the front struts and supports that most often fail. Unless you constantly pull a trailer or tow careless friends. The load on the front of the car is always increased, so you often have to work with the front suspension parts. Changing the front struts on a Grant is not so easy:

  • first you need to completely remove the rack and disassemble the lower parts of the chassis for subsequent installation on a new mechanism for damping road irregularities;
  • if the rack is installed as a new assembly, then there will be much fewer problems, you just need to install a new one in place of the old mechanism and reassemble it in the reverse order;
  • if only the liner is changed, it is worth completely disassembling the strut, removing the spring and taking out the shock absorber, checking the degree of wear of all parts and the need to replace them;
  • Next, you should replace the strut liner, carry out technical checks right at the assembly site and reassemble the shock absorber to its original position;
  • Next will be the installation of the rack in place, assembly and rough diagnostics of all the components that you repaired, this will give complete confidence in the quality of the work.

Kayaba oil shock absorbers: reviews and features

From the name it is clear that the cylinder cavity is filled with oil, there is no gas there. Otherwise the design is approximately the same. There is a rod with a piston and a check valve. Oil passes through the latter, for which there are small diameter holes in it.

It is worth noting that such racks are not intended for use on low-quality road surfaces. Constant load leads to cavitation (formation of bubbles), essentially causing the oil to boil. As a result, cavities appear and viscosity decreases, the oil passes through the check valve faster. For this simple reason, such a stand no longer works so effectively. It is the effect of cavitation that reduces the performance of the unit, as evidenced by numerous consumer reviews. Kayaba oil shock absorbers, however, are extremely popular due to the fairly robust design of the product, and if desired, a strut of this type can be repaired.

Let's sum it up

There are a number of features of operating the Lada Granta on Russian roads. For some reason, a domestic car is not very suitable for our roads; it crashes and fails instantly. Sometimes you come across a well-built car that doesn’t show any character after 100,000 kilometers. But in most cases, the Garnet justifies the title of the cheapest car in the Lada line. And when it comes to racks, the manufacturer saves a lot on these elements. The installation of low-quality suspension elements leads to the fact that more and more people, after purchasing Grants, repair it under warranty.

However, sometimes it is better to cancel the warranty and install normal racks, supports and other parts. In this case, you will ensure the normal service of your car’s suspension and will be able to establish normal operation of each unit. This will take a certain budget, but can provide you with comfortable movement without any particular difficulties or problems. Of course, even the best quality rack will eventually fail. But it can travel far beyond 100 thousand kilometers. What brands of spare parts do you choose to repair the suspension of your Lada Granta?

When choosing shock absorbers for the Lada Granta (VAZ 2190), you should know that the front struts of this car will differ depending on the engine power (although all with a 1.6 liter engine) and body type, and the numbers are different on the right and left sides. While everything is much simpler with the rear shock absorbers, all modifications use the same ones. To make it easier for you to find the required shock absorber, use the tables of original numbers and their analogues.

Reviews

The quality of KAYABA shock absorbers is beyond doubt. But, despite the increased popularity of these shock absorbers, the use of unique technologies and excellent quality, reviews on the Internet are very contradictory.

Let's look at what car enthusiasts praise the most and what they complain about, what reviews they leave about Kayaba shock absorbers.

Let's start with the good.

  1. All KYB shock absorbers perform well over the widest temperature range. If the operating temperature is too low (below 20-30 degrees below zero), then just drive a little (without running into large obstacles) and the unit will be 100% ready for operation.
  2. There is no need to add additional oil to the device - the manufacturer has already provided for everything, and the cooling system is perfectly adjusted.
  3. High build quality and long service life. Unlike domestic shock absorbers, products from KAYABA last much longer. Actually, you can drive according to the “set it and forget it” principle.
  4. Car enthusiasts note improved vehicle handling and stability, and reduced roll.

There are also negative aspects.

  • 1. Problems with operation may arise if you did not bleed the shock absorber and later ran into a large obstacle. In this case, extraneous knocking noises may appear. But such cases are rare - most often the shock absorbers are pumped while on the road. It is important to take into account one more nuance - multi-pipe shock absorbers (unlike single-pipe shock absorbers) do not require pumping.
  • 2. It happens that after some time of operation, small roughness appears on the KAYABA shock absorber and an oil leak is visible.

As a rule, this is caused by excessive clogging of device parts.

The reason is the inattention of motorists who, during the replacement process, save money on installing new bumpers and anthers.

  • 3. Car enthusiasts often cannot figure out which manufacturer of KAYABA products is best to buy. But here everything is simple. Today, almost 2/3 of all shock absorbers are produced in Japan, the rest - in Spain, Brazil and Thailand.
  • 4. Poor product quality (oil leaks, short service life) is associated with the purchase of a fake shock absorber.

Original devices rarely disappoint car enthusiasts.

At the same time, recognizing them is quite simple:

  • 1. Firstly, the seller must provide a guarantee for the products of this company (regardless of the series and type).
  • 2. Secondly, KAYABA shock absorbers must come with a complete package of documents:
  • warranty card (usually made in glossy form, has 16 pages and a six-digit serial number). The last page must have the seller's stamp;
  • certificate of conformity;
  • certificate of origin.
  • 3. Thirdly, carefully inspect the purchase itself. The shock absorber must indicate the date of manufacture, product code and catalog number;
  • 4. Fourthly, the box must have a label with a barcode, information about the configuration and production date;
  • 5. Fifthly, the kit itself includes a shock absorber, an insert (for the installer) and a nut for fastening. Pay special attention to the print quality of the insert. An ordinary photocopy is a clear sign of a fake.
  • 5. There is an opinion that KAYABA shock absorbers are too hard. But again, a lot depends on the right choice.
  • 6. There are negative reviews associated with their high cost. But this is normal for Japanese products.

Thus, if you analyze all the reviews from Kayab on the Internet, then 90% are positive responses from satisfied customers.

As for obvious defects, they are possible if you buy a fake. Although, this sometimes happens with original devices.

Front shock absorbers for Granta

All Granta cars are equipped with stock oil shock absorbers produced at the SAAZ plant (Skopinsky Automotive Aggregate Plant). The original number of the front shock absorber struts for Granta can have three options, since cars come in different years of production, and are installed depending on the modification of the body and engine power. This information is displayed in the table.

I replaced both front struts and rear shock absorbers 4 years ago. I don’t remember what I installed, but I installed everything that was required according to Kayabov’s catalogue. The car is a 1984 Nissan Pulsar, HN12 body, E15S engine. I installed them instead of the original leaking struts. The behavior of the car has, of course, changed dramatically and for the better. It holds the road as if glued to itself, it began to turn into turns at much higher speeds, small bumps/pits became almost invisible and, despite the fact that the car is very light (850 kg in running order), it does not bounce on large potholes/potholes. 4 years of operation have shown a fairly high degree of reliability of KAYABA products. I travel between 20 and 30 thousand kilometers a year.

Hi all. I can only say one thing about these shock absorbers: they are good. The first thing that persuaded me to take them was that this company deals only with shock absorbers. Then I read in the forums. I consulted with friends who had experience or who also read something about these shock absorbers and decided to take them and have never regretted them)))) The main thing is, if you have decided, be sure to consult with the seller, since I have already had cases where they write that they are suitable, but on Actually, no, specifically for these shock absorbers. So measure one cut seven times. Good luck everyone.

Good evening. Today I will talk about how long it took me to get these shock absorbers... at one point the original oil shock absorbers leaked, and they were replaced with exactly the same ones. After 2 months they started leaking... then gas-oil shock absorbers were installed, on the advice of friends. They lived for exactly a year. Koyaba oil shock absorbers were purchased. I liked them very much, and they were more reliable than those that were there before. I liked them for their comfort... In city mode they smoothed out all the potholes and potholes much better than the original ones! They brought pleasure for 2 years. Due to the upcoming suspension replacement, I wanted to improve handling. Friends recommended these “Kayaba excel-g” gas shock absorbers... I doubted it for a very long time... After all, many said that gas shock absorbers are very hard and do not have the ability to absorb road unevenness. but after putting them on I realized that this was complete nonsense! bumps the car simply began to fly by. And the handling amazed me. a turn that I previously entered at 120 km/h on the verge of sliding. Now I go 140 km/h with absolutely no fear. The wheels seem to be glued to the road. Also, on springboards I used to have to struggle a little for control... But now I feel that the wheels are constantly in contact with the road surface. The body will jump, but not the wheels. Now I am sure that next time I will install exactly these shock absorbers, because they fully correspond to my driving character and fully satisfy my needs and the price-quality ratio is very pleasing. I also recommend them to everyone else. I wish you all the best, thank you for reading the review. General impression

excellent shock absorbers, after installing them I simply did not recognize my car.

In the summer I replaced all the shock absorbers with kayabu ones, i.e. the front cartridges and the rear ones are one to one. I'm on my third season. Very comfortable. In cold weather there was no “boom boom” even when it was cold, there were no leaks either. I’ll be honest, they don’t remind me of themselves to this day. The car doesn't roll on its side when turning. In terms of toughness, it’s just right for me. My opinion is that the shock absorbers are good, although there are no limits to anything :)) If I had to change it again, I would confidently install kayabu.

02/08/2012 Ilya on Toyota Corona

Depending on the car, for example, they put the Kayaba on the Ixtrail and the Tokiko around, on the Kayaba it’s hard, on the Tokiko it’s softer and more pleasant. I'm for kayaba, because... The difference in price between manufacturers is small, the quality, I think, is better

02/08/2012 Tolya on Honda CR-V

It's not the brand of the struts, but the condition of the suspension. Even if it’s made of gold, if the suspension is loose or the springs are sagging, then very soon even these most wonderful struts will turn into trash. Personal experience and opinion - for the kayaba.

As you can see, the reviews are very good, but, as elsewhere, the main thing is not to run into a fake!

Analogs of front shock absorbers VAZ 2190 and 2191

Many car owners prefer foreign analogues, which are superior in quality and more attractive in price. But even here, not everything is so simple - when going to the car market, you should beware of Chinese counterfeits, both domestic and foreign spare parts.

The most popular shock absorber struts among car enthusiasts are shown in the table:

Rear shock absorbers on Lada Granta

The manufacturer of all original rear struts is the same as the front struts. Therefore, they are also similar in characteristics. When selecting a shock absorber for the rear strut of a Lada Granta, you should take into account that they are symmetrical and fit both left and right, and do not differ from what engine modification is installed on the car.

Below is all the information in tabular form about the main parameters of shock absorbers:

Analogs of rear shock absorbers on VAZ 2190 and 2191

The original rear ones are also slightly more expensive than the average price of replacements. Because of this, analogues are also in high demand. The best option would be to purchase rear shock absorber struts in packaging specifically from the manufacturer SAAZ (red box), and not the standard VAZ one (blue), which is true, analogues offer substitutes with slightly better rigidity characteristics and service life.

Which shock absorbers for Lada Granta should I choose? Many foreign analogues for the Lada Granta - VAZ 2190/2191 are superior to standard racks in a number of indicators, such as: rigidity, noise level, anti-corrosion coating, and the presence of reinforced mounting of silent blocks. But not all stands have such characteristics, especially if we are talking about a Chinese counterfeit.

The most popular manufacturer of racks among grant providers is SS20. The company specializes in producing racks specifically for Lada cars, including Grants. Therefore, there are no problems with installation, plus their price and quality are more acceptable, except in those rare cases when there are design flaws.

Of course, you can try to purchase Monroe or other spare parts made in Germany or France. But this will be too expensive an option.

Gas-oil struts for VAZ 2114

The design of such shock absorbers is similar to conventional oil shock absorbers, but what distinguishes them is the upper reservoir, which is filled with compressed nitrogen. It cools the oil, so the likelihood of fluid foaming and breakdown is minimized. They are moderately hard, but can provide almost the same smoothness as oil ones.

They are slightly more expensive in price than oil-based ones, but they can provide much better contact with the road and clearly follow the surface at high speeds. As a result, the safety and controllability of gas-oil struts is at a high level. The price of racks for the VAZ 2114 gas-oil type starts from $120 per pair, and judging by the reviews, the most comfortable and safest of them is AL-KO 2873.

When to change Lada Granta struts?

The service life of the shock absorber strut depends on the operating conditions of the vehicle, road conditions, and driving style. To find out the remaining service life of a rack that is coming to an end, you need to use diagnostics using a special stand.

There is a simpler way: if the car begins to hold the road poorly and is no longer as stable as before, there is a knocking or drip on the racks - it’s time for a replacement. The approximate service life of stock shock absorbers is 60-100 thousand km. mileage

Kayaba stands on grant reviews

Can anyone answer which gas oil (except SS20) is better to use for the grant?

It all depends on personal preferences and expectations. I installed gas-oil SAAZ 21928 with springs and was disappointed. Apparently, when they talked about a good, energy-intensive new grand suspension, they primarily meant more elastic stabilizers. So it’s unlikely that anyone will give a clear answer.

Like Saaz gas oil compared to standard ones. Is the strut itself stiffer in compression? for how long?

There is a difference, as I said above, not so significant as to say for sure. If I had known that the difference was so small, I would not have changed it. I think I will feel a greater effect from the stabilizer, but this is my next step.

Does Grant also nod in big holes?

everything is the same, the little frog is still a jumper.

I consider the Monroe reflex to be the most optimal and the golden mean of control/comfort.

21928, by definition, cannot cost less than 2190, because there are more foreign components there. or there is something “not clean” here. )) Rear 2190 - 1187r. Rear 21928 - 1176 rub. Before 2190 - 2185 rub. Before 21928 - 1995r.

And how to put Monroe on Grant?

what do you mean? you buy it, you install it) Monroe reflex is stiffer than stock, very energy-intensive, elastic, does not wobble on the highway, in corners and braking does not roll like a pregnant cow.

How to install the front Monroes?

collapsible housings, for example from a stock-auto. and corresponding liner as desired.

After 8000, these rear SAAZs rattled so loudly that they took out my brain, replaced them with SS20 and I don’t know any grief. what kind of knocking is it? in what modes? Did you somehow determine that this was precisely because of the rear shock absorbers? did you just remove them and install others?

Added after 9 minutes No. Leva asked why I need gas? Why do I need it? I myself know. For what? share..) Because I’ve already compared it. I wrote about Asomi above. Give me a link, I can’t find it right away. The travel of the priors is less than that of the grants? it is necessary to consider not only the stroke itself, but also the dimensions in the extended state. in the Priora it is 15 mm larger, and this is also important to some extent.

Added after 2 minutes everything is the same, the jumping frog is still the same. There is no need to answer for the Reducer in this case. What's "jumping" there? )

Added after 2 minutes The stock suspension is cotton wool. Need more rigid stands. But no one knows which ones are better. Because the analogues are only domestic and are not far from stock. suspension of grants with cotton wool and “stiffness required” are two different things. you can remove the “cotton wool”, but the car will not be rigid. but you can do the opposite. )

so in essence (in general) these are the settings of Kalina-2 - 21928)))

Added after 2 minutes Who used Stock - Auto gas, or gas.myas. Are they the same as SAAZ in terms of driving performance? More interested in gas meat. So that they are not as soft as stock and not hard enough to hit the butt. from November (probably) the grant will be equipped with a suspension with new settings (not 21928. modern 2190 gazmyas). Probably in six months they will be on sale.

I retold in the same words the reviews about the luxury suspension of the VAZ-2191 and the Datsun about energy intensity. It is, apparently, smaller rolls that make a greater impression.

The stiffness of the front springs on a car with an automatic transmission is approximately the same as that of 21928, so I left the original ones. I replaced the strut with 21928. At the rear I replaced the springs and shock absorber with 21928. It’s clear that the rear began to work harder. But something didn’t really affect the speed bump’s move (it’s clear why), the same “boo-bang” remained and the smoothness of its move did not increase. Although when turning in the city the car began to roll less, which I liked. I didn't try it on the highway because I changed the suspension last week. Apparently, the new shock absorbers will perform very well on the highway.

When I install the front stabilizer (I don’t have one yet), I will also install a rear strut strut (I already have one), with this I think to compensate for the difference with the rear beam stabilizer 21928.

Springs 11196 and 21928 have a significant difference in stiffness (11196 is close to 2170 (“ It’s a little short)) when were the racks purchased? what is their release date? “It’s interesting” to read about the knocking of the pickup struts on a luxury vehicle with an automatic transmission. The stabilizer (and its tightening) when driving sunbeds “exactly across” does not eliminate the knocking “to catch”. when driving “diagonally” or through isolated potholes, it can help. With spacers, you still shouldn’t interfere with the body structure. You’re not “tightening” her suspension.

When did you purchase the stands? what is their release date? I didn't look at the release date. It never occurred to me that this was important. The stabilizer (and its tightening) when driving sunbeds “exactly across” does not eliminate the knocking “to catch”. when driving “diagonally” or through isolated potholes, it can help. It is obvious.

With spacers, you still shouldn’t interfere with the body structure. You’re not “tightening” her suspension. Exactly the same in function. But, much better than the so-called stabilizer, which is not a stabilizer in essence, but a compromise solution from stinginess.

I didn't look at the release date. It never occurred to me that this was important. may not be important in this case, but interesting, for sure)

Exactly the same in function. But, much better than the so-called stabilizer, which is not a stabilizer in essence, but a compromise solution from stinginess. not at all. The stabilizer increases the rigidity of the suspension, and the “frame” increases the rigidity of the body. but the “frame” affects the behavior of the car differently in different bodies (obviously in sedans to the least extent), and the stabilizer affects the same, because This is part of the suspension itself.

maybe it’s not important in this case, but it’s interesting, for sure) It’s not a secret, but I didn’t look. I bought it last Friday - I thought it was fresh. :talktohand:

Added after 11 minutes, not at all. Here we take a rigid Datsun with suspension 21928 and a VAZ-21921 whose torsional rigidity remains in question, but the suspension is the same. Handling is certainly different, but not so much that it is critical. It is likely that the difference is not noticeable. I haven't compared, I don't know.

Added after 8 minutes). and the stabilizer has the same effect, because This is part of the suspension itself. How can it influence equally if the fulcrum points are on the body cups? :rotfl: And this very body, at the moment of the difference in forces on the beam arms, itself works under the influence of these torsional forces. It’s just easier at the factory to weld a rod into a beam common to everyone than to struggle with each body design option. Just my opinion when considering the effort involved.

The stabilizer is attached to the arms, not to the body. here are the levers - yes, to the body - to the side members. Shock absorbers are not guides for rear suspension operation. body rigidity affects handling, but this is “from a different story.” )

For what? share..) for this purpose, the suspension grants cotton wool and “stiffness is required” - these are different things. you can remove the “cotton wool”, but the car will not be rigid. but you can do the opposite. ) You need gas shock absorbers that are not too hard. Lada Granta automatic transmission › Logbook › KYB Exel-G suspension

The latest suspension configuration has been in use for a full two years and approximately forty thousand km, but before that there were two more configurations. So that no one swears or spits, I’ll say this, I like to take turns quickly, I hate driving on bad roads, I drive mainly on good asphalt, fortunately in Tatarstan they are not bad, I don’t drive on dirt at all, I’m not a mushroom picker or a fisherman, There is no country house either.

The first option is standard, relatively soft, but with knocking in the front pillars, on the highway after 100 km/h the car floats a little, on a strong wave it bites and can break through, the wife and children get seasick, turns at hard labor speeds, especially on factory wheels. I drove no more than three thousand and decided that I didn’t want to drive like this for four years.

The second option resembles a hodgepodge: -The housings of the 2170 demfi struts (the upper nuts were taken from the collapsible struts of the VAZ 2108, and from a turner I ordered a washer for the nut about five mm thick, as it seemed that the strut was not clamped in the cartridge), the nut securing the strut to the support is screwed onto six full turns, i.e. reliable. -Standard strut support -Unfortunately, I don’t remember the support bearing, but it seems from opel vectra b (found grants on the forum) -Standard springs -Front cartridges from VAZ 2110 Kyb premium 665503 rear struts Kyb premium 441824 There are no advantages for me, on the highway it became even more more impressive, but it became quieter in the cabin, there were no knocks, when fully loaded it’s a total mess, it shakes on the highway, heels, it rocks the family, the youngest daughter also started vomiting on the highway. I drove two thousand and sold it immediately.

The third option completely suits me: -Strut housings 2170 demfi -Standard strut support -Support bearing from the same opel vectra b -Front cartridges from VAZ 2110 KYB Exel-g 365507 -Rear struts from VAZ 2110 KYB Exel-g 341824 -Front springs Kilen 15032 -Kyb rear springs from 2111 RA5648 -The upper rubber bands of the rear shock absorbers are STANDARD, I tried installing acomi, there were strong knocks, I had to remove them. The advantages are obvious, the steering is perfect, the turns are a blast, the track is like an iron, fast overtaking and lane changes are clear and predictable, although it has become 1 cm higher than the standard suspension (for me this is a plus, almost a crossover), the family has stopped getting motion sickness, it is almost impossible to break through , very energy-intensive, in the private sector and in courtyards in deep holes it does not swing or break through, there are no knocks. Full load does not affect taxiing in any way, it just becomes a little softer, but again without breakdowns or rolls. There are also disadvantages: small ripples, vibration all over the cabin, I drive on fifteenth slick tires (summer Yokohama parada spec-2 195/50/15, winter hankook winter i pike rs 185/55/15), I think that on fourteenth wheels it will be much softer .

I posted the article because many people write in their blogs about the suspension, how they installed the kayaba, but they didn’t publish any article numbers or photos with the article numbers, here are the articles, everything fits and doesn’t touch anything, you can install other cartridges with rear struts, I repeat, I have an automatic transmission grant, on an eight-valve manual transmission, I think the muzzle will become even higher.

The next BZ will include an addition to the chassis (steering damper, stabilizer bar and body reinforcements).
