Install sealing gasket 1 on housing 4, Figure 2-4, of the spare wheel basket lock.

Place the lock body assembly with the gasket in place and tighten two bolts 3, while the sealing gasket 1 should be securely clamped between the lock body and the body (replaceable Torx T40 nozzle, extension, ratchet wrench).

Install hook 5 into lock body 4 and screw bolt 2 into the hook nut (replaceable head 17, extension and knob).

Install the spare wheel basket arms into the mounting brackets on the body.

Place the spare wheel in the basket.

Raise the basket and secure the basket handle to the hook.

Tighten the spare wheel basket hook bolt. Bolt tightening torque 14 N.m (1.4 kgf.m) (replaceable head 17, extension and wrench, torque wrench).
