Adjustment
The door of the VAZ 2109 is hanging
To adjust the doors on the “nine” you need to have only two tools with you:
- A good screwdriver;
- Hammer.
Front doors
On the “nine” the front doors are adjusted as follows:
- The position of the latch changes;
- Before carrying out this procedure, you need to carefully outline the contours of the latch on the stand;
- If the front door of the “nine” closes too tightly, then you need to loosen the bolts of the clamp, move it a little outward, and then tighten the screws thoroughly;
- If the front door closes poorly, then the latch must be pushed inward.
Note. During the operation, care must be taken to ensure that the door does not sink or protrude relative to the body.
- If the door drops below the level when closing, then the latch must be raised;
- If the door rises when closing, but sags in the open position, the latch must be lowered.
Note. To ensure that the adjustment of the latch is not disrupted in the future, it is reasonable to install a gasket under it. It is better that it is not rubber, but waterproof sandpaper. The gasket will help fix the distance of the latch from the post so that the pin of the mechanism does not touch the cover of the external lock.
- If you need to adjust the inner handle of the lock, you should move the bracket under the fastening screws. There are oval holes on the inner panel of the door that will help in this matter;
- If the internal handle does not cope with its duties and the door does not open well, then the bracket bolts are loosened, the handle is moved to the desired position, and the screws are tightened.
Rear doors
Adjusting the door on a VAZ 2109
The rear doors are adjusted as follows:
The bolts securing the hinges are loosened, the gaps between the body and the door (see Malfunctions of VAZ 2109 doors: how to fix them) are adjusted taking into account the draft and the screws are properly tightened.
Helpful advice. To determine the amount of displacement of the door hinges, it is necessary to outline the contours on the counter in advance. To check the draft, apply a load to the door, slightly open by 5 degrees, with a uniform increase to 100 kg and then decrease to zero.
Hood
Adjusting the door of a VAZ 2109
The procedure for adjusting the hood cover is as follows:
- The height of the pin changes in relation to the front surfaces of the front wings and radiator trim. A pin and springs secure the hood in the closed position. The pin itself is screwed into the hood and locked with a lock nut. There are cups installed on it with a spring between them;
- To adjust the hood cover, you need to loosen the hinge bolts, move the hood so that the gaps between it and the body are as they should be, and then tighten the screws thoroughly;
- If the hood lid does not close well, then you need to loosen the fastening of the pin, move it until it matches the lock socket, and then tighten the lock nut thoroughly;
- If the problem with closing the hood is in the lock, then with the hood open, you need to outline the contours of the lock body, and then move it to the desired position. After that, tighten the bolts and check how the lid closes.

Fifth door
To adjust the fifth door on a VAZ 2109, do the following:
- You should know in advance that the goal will be to achieve a gap size around the perimeter of 5/2 mm;
- It is necessary to outline the contours of the lock, loosen the hinges, and then move the latch to a new position. The bolts are tightened lightly, the work is checked, and then finally secured.

Note. You should know that the luggage compartment lid hinges on the “nine” have a torsion mechanism that facilitates easy opening. If you move the ends of the torsion bars to one of the locking teeth, you can adjust the opening gain adjustment.
Car door won't open
Many car owners are faced with various malfunctions of the door locks in their cars. Some of these problems result in the door being unable to be opened under certain conditions. Let's consider what to do in such situations.
The key in the car lock does not turn
If the key is inserted into the keyhole but does not turn, then the lock cylinder is faulty. The cylinder is a cylinder with a set of spring-loaded elements that must be sunk with a key in a certain combination. If at least one element is not in the desired position, it will be impossible to rotate the cylinder. The larva may stop working more often due to external influences, for example, after an attempt to open the lock not with a key, but with some other object.
It's another matter if the lock on the car door does not open in winter. Then the fact that the key does not turn in the lock may be due to ordinary ice - the cylinder is frozen. This is especially true after washing or during a thaw - water flows into the lock and freezes, blocking the larva. Accordingly, there are only two ways to solve the problem:
— If the larva is frozen, it can be activated with a special lock defroster, which is sold at any auto store
But, if you don’t have such a composition on hand, you can splash warm water on the keyhole or gently heat it with a lighter. The main thing is to be able to melt the ice inside the castle and then the larva will gain freedom
— If it’s warm outside, but the key won’t turn, most likely the lock cylinder will have to be changed. Open another car door with the key or use the central locking to get into the car and contact service. Or change the lock cylinder yourself.
The key turns, but the car door lock does not unlock
The next situation is when the key rotates normally, but the lock does not unlock. This means only one thing - the rod that connects the cylinder to the locking lever has flown off or broken off. A special case is a bend in the rod or a violation of its adjustment. However, such malfunctions do not just happen. In order for the rod to bend, it needs to be influenced, for example, so that a blow occurs on the door during an accident. The adjustment usually gets lost when the lock is repaired or the outer door handle is removed.
If nothing like this happened to your car in the near future, it means the traction has simply lost. You need to get into the car by unlocking the door through the central locking or through another door, disassemble the faulty door and restore traction.
The car door won't unlock from the inside or outside
The problem is the same as the previous one, that is, the problem is torn or broken rods. Accordingly, you need to find a break in the linkage from the desired handle and restore it.
The same should be done if the door does not lock from the inside.
Central locking doesn't work
If you are unable to unlock your car door using the central locking, there may be several reasons for this. They can be divided into mechanical and electrical.
When you try to open, pay attention to the sound of the electric drive inside the door. If it exists and is also ordinary, then the problem is mechanical and it still lies in the same broken rod
That is, the motor cannot move the locking lever to the closed state.
If the electric drive is silent, listen to the operation of the same motors in other doors. When none of them shows signs of life, check the fuse that supplies voltage to your car's central locking system. You can find out the fuse number and its location from your vehicle's owner's manual or from the picture on the fuse box cover.
If only the drive in one door does not work, it is most likely burned out. Alternatively, the power wire may be broken where it enters the door from the body pillar. Electrical problems will require much more diagnostics than mechanical problems and possibly more complex and expensive repairs.
Situations when a person cannot get into his car can be confusing, especially if we are talking about a girl, and it is, say, twenty degrees below zero and night outside. The main thing to remember here is that there are several ways to unlock a car. Let's repeat them again. You can get into the car:
— Unlocking the driver's door with the key
— Unlocking the passenger door with the key
— Unlocking the door using the electric lock

How to replace a lock
The design of the locks on the front and rear doors of the car is fundamentally the same, the difference lies in the installation of the lock switch cylinders on the external handles on the front doors. Instructions on how to replace the front door lock are presented below:
- The lower seal is pressed out, and three spring clips are removed from above to secure the protective film and one from below.
- The protective film is removed from the door.
- Inside the lock, the lock switch and external handle rods are disconnected.
Disconnection points for switch rods
Tip: During assembly, sealant was applied to the threads of the screws, so when twisting, you need to use an impact screwdriver.
- The outside door lock is removed.
- Unscrew the two screws securing the internal handle of the device.
- The handle is pushed inside the door.
- The internal lock and handle are pulled out of the doors, as shown in the photo.
The handle and lock are removed from the door
- The rubber holder is removed from the end of the rod.
- The handle is removed from the rod. In this case, it needs to be cranked.
- The locking bracket is detached from the lever pin.
- The rod of the internal handle is disconnected from the internal lock lever.
- The plastic holder is rotated and the end of the rod is removed from the lever to lock the device.
- Unscrew the two nuts securing the outer handle of the lock.
- The handle is removable.
- The plastic rod end is removed from the door lock cylinder and removed.
- The locking spring is removed. To do this, its ends are removed from the slots on the lock handle and cylinder.
Removing the retaining spring
- A key is inserted into the lock cylinder and the part is removed from the handle.
- Repairs and replacement of faulty elements are carried out, or a new lock is installed.
- Assembly of the unit occurs in the reverse order.
- The lock can be adjusted if necessary. To do this, loosen the screws and move the latch:
- outward, when the door is tightly closed;
- inward, if the door is not closed tightly;
- down if the door is raised when closing.
After adjusting the device, tighten the screws.
Tip: If you need to remove the retainer, you must first trace its outline on the body pillar. This will help maintain the door lock adjustment during installation.
How the door locks are removed on a VAZ 2109 car can be clearly seen in the video.
How to install a silent lock on the door of a VAZ 2109 car
Very often you can hear an unpleasant metallic clang when closing the doors of a VAZ 2109, especially in older models. This is due to the fact that the lock is attached to the outside of the door and when closing it comes into contact with the metal parts of the body and creates a characteristic sound. Manufacturers are now producing silent locks. They are sold in pairs, left and right, their price is reasonable. If the door lock on a VAZ 2109 car is jammed, it is better to immediately replace it with a silent one. To do this you need:
Unscrew the bolts holding the old lock on the car door.
Unscrewing the fixing bolts of the old lock
- The pin is screwed into place of the unscrewed bolt, otherwise the inside of the lock may fall inside the door.
- The old lock is removed and a silent one is installed.
- The bolts are tightened with maximum force. Tighten using an impact screwdriver.
- You can also install locking pins or silent bolts.
Installation of silent bolts
The installation operation ends with adjusting the locks. In this case, the position of the latch changes due to large holes in the rack. For this:
- The contours of the latch are outlined on the stand.
- When opening the doors tightly, you need to loosen the screws holding the latch, it moves outward and the screws are tightened.
- If the door does not close tightly, the latch must be moved inward.
- If the door lowers when closing, the latch must be raised and lowered when the door is raised.
Tip: In order not to disturb the adjustment of the clamp, you need to install a spacer made of waterproof sandpaper under it. Using the same spacers under the clamp, you can adjust the distance between the clamp and the stand. This is necessary so that the locking pin does not touch the cover of the external lock.
Installing a silent lock guarantees the car owner the absence of ringing and clanging.

How to eliminate door noise on a VAZ 2109
Over time, the doors of the VAZ 2109 rattle and extraneous noise appears. Most often this is due to loose fasteners or incorrectly adjusted door locks, regardless of whether it is the front or rear door. In this case, it is enough to simply tighten the fixing elements more tightly. You need to eliminate the noise of the fifth door in a slightly different way. So:
- To adjust the lock here, in addition to tightening the bolts, you may need to remove the adjusting washers from the locking loop at the bottom.
- Tighten the clamp tightly to the body with bolts and push it back as far as possible. This will allow the lock loop to press more tightly against the latch.
Tip: The main thing is to make sure that everything is done correctly, otherwise the lock will not close or you will have to slam the door hard. The position of the latch should be such that the door closes tightly when pressed.
Rear door lock
- The reason why the doors rattle on the VAZ 2109 may be buffers or rubber bumpers. In this case, you need to unscrew the buffer until the doors are aligned when closed relative to the line of the car body.
- The condition of the door seal is checked.
- The cause of door noise may be a broken pin that prevents the door from moving horizontally.
- Worn retainer bushing. The part cannot be repaired, and the low price allows it to be simply replaced.
- If the instructions were followed during all operations, and the knocking noise does not disappear, it means that the latch and lock have become critically worn, which requires their replacement.

Reasons for sagging doors
When using a car for a long time, there comes a time when the door hinges wear out. This is often accompanied not only by its sagging, but also creates a lot of problems for the driver:
- So, if the door on a VAZ 2109 does not open well, then to do this you need to put in enough effort, and if the door on a VAZ 2109 does not close, then you need to slam it hard, but at the same time prevent the glass from falling out.
- If, when driving over bumps or potholes on a VAZ 2109, the doors squeak, rattle and make other unpleasant sounds.
If the door sag on a VAZ 2109, the following problems may arise:
- If the body is significantly distorted, there will be no tightness. Cold air and moisture from the street penetrate into the car interior in autumn and winter, and sealing and sound insulation no longer matter.
- Constant friction against the threshold leads to it being scratched and then quickly rusting; there is practically no point in tinting the thresholds.
The reasons for sagging doors can be:
- Warped door hinges.
- Significant loosening of hinges.
- The door hinges and axles are worn out and wobbly.
To diagnose the cause it is necessary:
- Open the doors.
- Lift it from below and shake it a little. This will make it possible to determine whether the doors of the VAZ 2109 are loose, and in what place - in the fastening or hinges.
- Check the connections to the body. Pay attention to the presence of a recess or other distortion that leads to the door being skewed.
Once the cause has been established, repairs can begin. It is as follows:
- If a hole forms in the loops and there is no deformation on their outer surface, the culprit for the misalignment will be the axle, which requires replacement.
Advice: When the axle wears out, it is better to replace it along with the hinges. Moreover, they are sold as a repair kit.
- To make it easier to adjust the door, you need to remove the lock part on it so that it stops latching.
- The door slams shut, and in this position its correct position relative to the vertical is established. In this case, the door hinges are simply loosened, the door is raised and lowered, and their optimal correct position is achieved.
- The fastening is tightened well, the location of the door in the opening is checked.
- When the door moves down, in the place where the lock is located, and the hinges are in normal condition, it is worth loosening the fastening at the bottom. After this, you need to slide metal plates under the problem hinge until the door is aligned.
- A plate is placed under the top hinge to support the door when the edge of the door is raised.
Tip: Don't jump to conclusions and rush with clamps and pads, otherwise you'll have to do everything all over again.
- The horizontal sagging of the door is eliminated. When adjusting, the door must be perpendicular to the horizontal, otherwise the door lock will not be installed level. The device will not latch well, and a situation will arise in which the door on the VAZ 2109 gets stuck when opening.
- After completing the door adjustment, it also remains to correctly install the door locks in the mating part.
- After installing the lock, a test is carried out, the door is closed and opened several times. Its closing should be accompanied by the usual clap for a door, which indicates that the lock pawl has entered the groove and the door is pulled.
How to Open the Door of a VAZ 2114 Without a Key
The article will save time, money and your own nerve cells.
I would like to immediately note the purpose of this article. help those who are in an unpleasant situation and cannot get into it with their OWN car. I am in no way advocating any wrongdoing, and I am not an experienced burglar, and this article is not intended to be a guide for auto burglars. All I want to do is help "drowning" people who find themselves in a sticky situation with their car door automatically locking.
Let me start, perhaps, with the fact that this article. it is rather a cry from the heart if it is more than the usual help for beginners. Why? Yes, because the other day I, the creator of this article, found myself in such a terrible situation when the key was left in the ignition and the door was locked. To be honest, I personally, like most of those to whom this happens, did not believe that such a fate could understand me. I thought this could happen to anyone but not me, which is what I actually paid for.
I couldn't understand why this was happening. Why car manufacturers and car alarms invented this option, I personally don’t understand. You may have some ideas about this, in which case feel free to comment.
That's how it was. I stood out of the car for almost a minute, breathing fresh air, waiting for my wife. The key was in the ignition, the engine was off, the radio was on, and the fog lights were on. When I got out of the car, I didn't lock anything or press any special buttons, but I was surprised when my wife pulled the passenger door handle and said the door was locked. Not believing her, I pulled the driver's door handle and noted with fear the fact that the car was locked. Why I don't understand, it could be some kind of security feature or simply the central locking system (central locking) itself has "failure" but the fact remains that I can't get into the car, I have a key but I don't have a spare. Autumn, night, first frost, mobile communication doesn’t really work. Arrived! What should I do? First idea. remove the glass, but of course, I didn’t immediately, because I once read an article about how to open the door without a key if the car is locked. Digging back into my own memories, I have mentioned a few methods that I will introduce you to in a moment.
How to Open the Rear Door of a VAZ 2114
What to do if the door on the outside of a VAZ does not open?2114
Virtually every modern person has his own car. There is nothing unusual in this, because having a car is much easier and, most importantly, more convenient, you can get to any place both in the city and in the suburbs.
In order for your metal four-wheeled friend to work properly and not let its owner down on the road, you should definitely look after its technical condition.
And every car enthusiast who has at least a little experience in repair work can fix minor damage.
The door does not open from the outside in any VAZ-2114
Infrequently, but still, the owners of the VAZ-2114 have a problem - the door does not open from the outside
. It is possible to eliminate this problem without the help of service station employees, if you take into account the advice of professionals when working and carry out the entire process step by step.
It is worth noting that both the driver's front and rear doors can become jammed in the car. Before you begin to fix the problem, you should find out the cause of the breakdown. Door
may not open well due to the following reasons:
- The car door key has failed.
- The leash has become unusable.
- The rod has become disconnected from the car lock.
Having found out the cause of the breakdown, you can begin to eliminate the problem step by step.
Step-by-step troubleshooting
Work begins with replacing the key. If it is made of silumin, then in the winter this element freezes quite often. If you apply too much pressure, a silumin key may simply break. Of course, such a part needs to be replaced, but for this you don’t have to buy a door handle on a VAZ- 2114
assembled, but buy a repair kit. It includes:
The back door of a VAZ does not open, how to remove the door trim on a VAZ 2110, 2111, 2112, Lada Priora

HOW TO REMOVE THE DOOR TRIM
IF
THE DOOR
DOES NOT OPEN ON
A VAZ
2110, 2111, .
- two keys;
- two leashes for handles;
- fastening elements.
Before replacing, you need to pay attention to the appearance of the element - on its reverse side there are two protrusions, one of which, when activated, will press the key, and the second is shortened during assembly so that the ends of the leash do not protrude outward
Replacing the leash
The leash, which the key must push during operation, can also fail due to frost or due to strong pressure, since it is based on the same silumin. Due to the failure of this element, it will be more difficult to open the door, and ultimately the lock will simply jam. The leash is changed according to the same pattern that was previously described.
If, during inspection, the car owner discovers that the driver's door
does not open from the outside due to the disconnection of the rod from the lock, then you will not need to buy additional elements. And the breakdown is repaired in the following sequence:
- the door must be opened, carefully remove the inner lining of the door handle;
- fasteners are unscrewed using a screwdriver;
- the window lifter handle is removed;
- the fasteners securing the door trim are removed;
- use a screwdriver to unscrew the button that activates the lock;
- the cladding is completely removed;
- the handle pull wire is disconnected from the lock;
- the fasteners securing the handle to the car door are unscrewed;
- Through the opening that appears in the door, the handle is carefully removed, and the traction wires are installed in a permanent place.
Reassembly must be done in reverse order.
Sometimes it happens that the front or back door is jammed both from the outside and from the inside.
In this case, to fix the breakdown, car owners will need to remove or move the outer casing to such a distance that they can place their hand in the resulting space and press the lever.
Thus, the door will open, therefore, it will be possible to identify the cause of the breakdown and begin to eliminate it.

Causes of malfunctions
There are several types of malfunctions that prevent the doors of a VAZ-2109 from opening from the outside or from both sides:
- The outer key, made of silumin, broke off. This happens when you try to open the door in severe frost, applying a lot of force. Breakage is not considered a big problem, because the sash can be opened with a handle from the inside.
- The silumin pusher, which is activated by the opening key, has broken. The reasons are the same: low temperature outside and strong pressure. In this situation, the door can also be unlocked from inside the car.
- The rod that connects the handles with the locking mechanism has disappeared. The door does not unlock from either side.
- Wear of parts of the locking device.
- The screws securing the lock have come loose and it is hanging freely inside the door card. It is impossible to open the door using the handles.
The latter malfunction sometimes occurs due to the fault of the car owner himself, who has decided to change or repair the door lock. Having put it in place and not fully tightened the screws, the owner of the VAZ-2109 accidentally slams the door, after which it will not be possible to open it with the handle.
In the cold, the car door does not close: how to solve the problem, recommendations from car owners
Cold seasons bring with them many problems for vehicle owners. There are frequent cases when, due to frost, a car turns into a locked bastion. At the same time, opening or closing the door can be extremely difficult. Even if you somehow managed to unlock it, after that it may not lock. Driving with it open is unwise and unsafe. In order to have the knowledge of what actions to take when the door does not close in the car, you need to have an understanding of the simplest structure of this mechanism.
Door opening method
If the VAZ-2109 door does not open from any side, then the cause of the breakdown is difficult to determine, since there is absolutely no access to the lock mechanism.
A somewhat simplified version of the breakdown occurs when the door does not slam shut completely and gets stuck in that position. Then it is possible to reach the latch from the outside with a sharp object.
To open a jammed door, you must first perform the following steps:
When simple means do not produce results, the door will have to be opened from inside the cabin, which will require removing its trim.
In practice, this is not easy to do, because the casing is pressed by the sash and it is difficult to pull it out without damage. But there is still no other way out: it is better to damage the inner panel than to mutilate the door itself.
To dismantle the decorative panel, you need to unscrew the armrest handle with a screwdriver, and then the storage shelf located at the bottom of the door card. Then the button that secures the lock from above is unscrewed and removed.
Lastly, the window lifter handle and the opening handle frame are removed. Now you need to carefully separate the lining from the body using a pair of flathead screwdrivers and another suitable tool.
You may be able to remove the trim without visible damage.
When the decorative panel is removed, access to the lock mechanism from the inside opens, although getting to it is inconvenient. Immediately check whether the rod running from the handle to the lock has fallen off. This is a fairly common malfunction that can be fixed with little effort. Put the rod in place and open the door.
If there are no visible reasons for the breakdown, simply try to open the door from the inside by working on the mechanism with various tools. If necessary, enlist the services of an assistant who will press or pull the door from the outside. Experience shows that such procedures for opening jammed doors can take a lot of time, so you will have to be patient.

- Disconnect the rod connecting it to the locking device from the handle mechanism.
- With the glass fully up, unscrew the 2 fastenings of the handle to the door card.
- Remove the handle, replace the parts and put it back.
If the rod is disconnected, then you need to remove the inner lining and put it in place, as described above. Using the moment when the facing panel is removed, check what caused the disconnection of this rod so that history does not repeat itself when the door is slammed.
Malfunctions of the locking mechanism can only be eliminated by removing it. In a situation where the device has a lot of wear, as happens on the driver and front passenger doors, it is recommended to replace the lock with a new one.
After installing it in place, adjustment will be required to ensure precise alignment of the locking parts. To adjust, the lock will have to be fixed in different positions, achieving the optimal one.
- When the sash is not completely slammed, try to get to the locking device using a steel flat ruler. It may be possible to open it in a similar way to conventional door locks with a latch.
- If the door is completely closed, try to move it to the slightly open position to gain access to the lock. To do this, try pressing the inside and outside handles together or alternately, while simultaneously pushing the door from the inside.
- Try opening the back door with a helper, who will press and release it to get it into position while you try to open the lock.
How to Open the Trunk of a VAZ 21099
Replacing and adjusting the trunk lock on a VAZ 2108, VAZ 2109, VAZ 21099
Want to know how to properly replace the boot lock? If so! Then, in this case, we have specially prepared an article for you, which says that you can easily replace the trunk lock on cars of the Samara family. Changing the boot lock will take you 10-15 minutes, but if this is not your first time doing this job, you can do it in 3-5 minutes. The entire progress of the work will be in the photo, so it will be very clear to you.
Adjusting the latch and replacing the luggage compartment lock on a VAZ 21099:
1) To remove the trunk lid lock, first unscrew the two nuts that secure the lock to the trunk lid using a winch or lid.
2) Once the lock nuts are turned, remove the inner lock from the cover.
3) Then, from the same place, remove the small spring and check its condition.
If the spring suddenly tightens or shakes, replace it with a new one!
4) Then remove the button from the inside of the trunk lid and check the button in the same way.
Replace the lock button with the latest one that doesn't work and also lock when the button is pressed!
The trunk lock of the VAZ 21099 is not dismountable, so do not try to repair it or do anything with it. If the lock is faulty and defective, in this case it must be replaced with a new one!
1) First put the entire system back together. In other words, if you previously removed the button with the cylinder and the small spring, then install them in their place in the reverse order of removal.
2) Next, take the new lock and place it in place, continuing to tighten it with the mounting nuts.
3) After installation, try closing and opening the trunk lid. If, when closing the lid, the trunk latch does not suddenly fall into the latch hole, usually in this case a clear knocking sound is heard in the area of the lock, and the lid closes very poorly, in which case:
The most gentle options
You should use a rope if your car has mushroom-shaped internal locking buttons. A not too thick twine about a meter long will suit you. At worst, take a lace from your shoe. The main thing is that it reaches with a margin to the bottom of the window.
At one end of the twine, make a loose loop. Its size should be approximately twice the diameter of the lever.
Next, the driver's door needs to be pressed away from the body in the upper right corner. We push the prepared noose into the resulting gap and throw it on the button. It is unlikely that you will succeed the first time, but sooner or later, with due diligence and patience, everything will work out.
Then the rope, slightly stretched, is moved very carefully and slowly downwards (towards the door handle) and only then is it tightened tighter on the “fungus”.
After this, the string is returned to the upper corner of the door and the latch rises.
You can also use a piece of fairly stiff wire or an old electrode. A hook is made at one end of it. Further:
- move the glass seal on the driver's door directly opposite the lock button to the side;
- a hook is inserted inside;
- they put him under traction;
- they grab it and pull it up.
The main types of breakdowns of VAZ 2109 locks
The reasons for requiring repair or replacement of the lock on a VAZ 2109 car may be:
- Wire refraction. This is the most common cause of failure. When diagnosing this particular malfunction, in order to repair the lock, you need to find the location of the break and restore the wiring.
- But most often, the reason that the door lock on a VAZ 2109 is jammed is due to the fact that the latch, which attaches the central locking rod to the door lock rod, “falls off”.
- The actuator itself may fail. In this case, you just need to replace it.
After assembling the door and testing the quality of the repairs made, the lock will be fully functional.

Topic: Door won't close all the way
Actually, subject. Driver's door. When I press it, it seems to reach, but it doesn’t latch. I tried slamming it hard, but it didn’t help. Those. in the first position it clings, but does not close completely. It doesn't seem to sag - it doesn't cling to the metal. Maybe just try changing the lock?

Re: Door won't close all the way
First just try to adjust it. On the rack you unscrew the hook to which the lock clings (with 3 bolts) and push it forward a little.
