It’s good if you can unscrew both lock nuts the first time, but even if not the first time, it’s not that difficult to do. An open trunk door will be our reward. Other methods are also known. In the case of a VAZ 2106, for example, you need to take a not very thick but strong slotted screwdriver and insert it into the gap between the body and the trunk lid directly under the lock. You can try to open an old, designed lock with any key of less or the same thickness as the “original” one. It must be inserted carefully, no deeper than 0.5-1.0 cm while trying to turn it. Some craftsmen even perform this operation with a long slotted screwdriver.

The trunk can be opened using the door key. It must be inserted vertically, and once inserted, rotate it 90° to a horizontal position. After turning it, take out the key and press harder on the lock cylinder with your finger. Well, a completely radical method is to open the lock with a strong kick of the foot just below the lock, but we will not recommend this to our readers.

Next, all you need is sleight of hand - you need to hook the bolt by the upper part with a loop, tighten the fishing line, after which all you have to do is pull up to lift it.
  2. The second option is to make a special tool from wire. Take a piece of thick wire that will hold its shape well. Its length should be equal to the height of the door. You can take it a little longer, about 3-4 centimeters, to make a hook bent at 45 degrees. Carefully inspect the door; you need to find the place where the edge of the rubber seal is located (between the window and the door body). Bend the seal to get inside the door. A couple of centimeters of free space is enough to lower the wire. It should collide with the locking mechanism, which you need to go around and plunge the rod below. After this, move the wire to the center and feel the lock lever with the hook, pull it up.

These simple manipulations will help you open the door with minimal damage to the car. The last option is the most gentle - you just need to put the seal back in place, and there will be no traces of tampering on the door.

I also bent the lock spring so that it would close better and lengthened the levers by which the drive pulls (previously the handle for opening the interior was pulled by it). There was no welding, I had to cut a piece of tin to the size of the hole from the outer handle and put it on self-tapping screws (they sit in the holes from the bolts almost under the face) I ground off the protruding metal a little with an angle grinder and filled it with putty.
