After installation, you can see that the front wheel hangs poorly, but the rear wheel hangs like a normal car.
The installation went like clockwork. When the car is on a jack, you can see that the suspension is not hanging, but is normally fixed as if it were on a foreign car. If you have Priora wheels, then such a lowering will take place without consequences in the form of friction on the rear bumper. On Kalina Sport wheels with a lowering of -70, on uneven roads the tires rub against the edge of the bumper. Either you need to cut it or order it... In terms of comfort: basically the same as on stock. Of course it holds turns perfectly.

Thanks to my engineer, the installation went perfectly:
And a few more words and photos about an even landing. In order to sit evenly, you need to put springs at the rear -70, and at the front -50... Let's look:
And now -70 in a circle:
It sat down exactly at -70 in a circle. Springs can be installed with the same lowering! Perhaps it's the Dump struts or supports... Addition: In fact, the seat is not level... Visually, yes. But if you measure it, the difference is 2 cm. The back is higher. So, the metal disc has already been purchased.
It turned out somehow fresher:
I asked for negative camber on the front wheels. Removed all caster washers. Result:
A year has passed and all the details are perfect. The rear needs to be seated a couple of times, see below. Ideally: front -70 or -90, rear -90 or -110, respectively. No cutting! Take the struts at the same level as the springs. When the rear wheels come off, the spring may jump off! More precisely, it dangles and falls into place. (When the wheel comes off!). Not tough enough. There is no alternative to Plaze. Front struts without lowering the bipod or, more precisely, with insufficient lowering. Bent rows. The helmsman dies. Perhaps from cravings, perhaps time. The driving style of the car is similar to that of a Civic. Koltsevaya, 160-180, clear lane change. At speeds of 120 or more, it flies over pits and rails. Only the sound of rubber.

I decided to buy wishbones. After reading the reviews, I realized that the best are Saturn Racing. I called several stores
Owners of domestic cars, and in particular the VAZ 2170, often resort to suspension tuning, improving the appearance and handling of the car. You can lower the suspension in various ways, which differ both in cost and in the complexity of the work performed. Therefore, before you begin such modifications, you should understand what you want to achieve and how much money you are willing to invest.
Why lower the Lada Priora?
On the roads of our country you can often find “Priors” with a low landing. The main reason why owners resort to this solution is to improve the appearance of the car. Lowering allows you to give the car a sporty look. In this budget way, the VAZ 2170 can be distinguished from the road traffic. When lowering work is carried out correctly, the following benefits can be obtained:
- reduce roll when cornering;
- improve the handling and behavior of the car at high speeds.
One of the main disadvantages of lowering a car lies in the quality of the roads: any hole or unevenness can lead to serious damage to body elements or vehicle components (bumpers, sills, engine crankcase, exhaust system). Due to the low seating position, the owner has to visit a car service much more often to fix certain problems. Therefore, if you want to make your “Priora” below, you need to take into account the following disadvantages of such a procedure:
- you will have to plan your route more carefully;
- incorrect lowering can lead to rapid failure of suspension elements, in particular shock absorbers;
- Due to increased suspension rigidity, the level of comfort decreases.
Advantages
The main reason why car enthusiasts want to lower the suspension is the appearance of the car. After all, after such tuning, the design of the car becomes more sporty and original. And if the Priora does not have any special distinctive features in appearance, then with the help of a lowered suspension you can significantly distinguish it from the gray “crowd” of other cars. Against their background, Priora will look expressive and dynamic. How is such sportiness achieved? Everything is very simple - thanks to the lowering of the suspension, the ground clearance of this car becomes as low as that of foreign super-cars.
However, the Priora changes after such tuning not only externally. After lowering the suspension, the car's maneuverability improves significantly, and roll when cornering practically disappears. This car skids less when cornering, and it holds confidently on the highway at high speeds. Such stability is achieved due to the fact that the lowered suspension compensates for centrifugal force by lateral roll. Thanks to this, the wheels do not skid. In addition, exchange rate stability also increases. In other words, the Priora “listens to the steering wheel” better and reacts faster to its turns.
How to lower the Priora correctly
There are several ways to lower the landing position on the Priora. Each of them is worth dwelling on in more detail.
Air suspension
Air suspension is considered one of the best, but at the same time expensive, ways to lower a car. The driver can raise or lower the car body as necessary. In addition to the high cost of such equipment, the work must be carried out by specialists who understand the electronics and chassis of the car. Therefore, most Prior owners prefer less expensive methods of undervaluation.
Suspension with adjustable ground clearance
The Priora can be equipped with a special adjustable suspension kit. Height adjustment is carried out by means of struts, and springs with a selected lowering (-50, -70, -90) are compressed or stretched. Thus, the car can be raised for the winter and lowered for the summer. The springs that come with the kit are highly reliable and are designed to constantly change in length. The set in question consists of the following elements:
- front and rear springs;
- screw-adjustable struts and shock absorbers;
- front upper supports;
- spring cups;
- bumpers.
The procedure for implementing such a kit comes down to replacing the standard suspension elements with new ones:
- Remove the rear shock absorbers along with the springs.
It is recommended to lubricate the threaded part of the shock absorbers with graphite lubricant.
Lowered suspension
This method of lowering the suspension is less expensive than the previous one. It involves purchasing a set of shock absorbers and lowered springs (-30, -50, -70 and more.). The disadvantage of this kit is the impossibility of adjusting the ground clearance. However, you can install such a suspension yourself. To replace you will need the following kit:
- Demfi -50 racks;
- springs Techno Ressor -50;
- supports Sevi Expert.
The understatement is selected based on the wishes of the car owner.
You will also need to prepare the following tools:
- wrenches 13, 17 and 19 mm;
- 17 and 19 mm socket heads;
- breakdown;
- hammer;
- pliers;
- ratchet handle and knob;
- penetrating lubricant;
- spring ties.
Replacement of suspension elements is carried out as follows:
- Apply penetrating lubricant to the threaded connections of the front struts.
- Using sockets 17 and 19, unscrew the fastening of the struts to the steering knuckle.

Low profile tires
One of the options for lowering the suspension of the Lada Priora is to install low-profile tires. The standard tire size for the car in question has the following parameters:
- 175/70 R13 82T;
- 175/65 R14 82Н;
- 185/60 R14 82Н;
- 185/65 R14 86H;
- 185/55 R15 82H.
When lowering the seating position by installing low-profile tires, a small deviation from the standard dimensions should be observed. Otherwise, the vehicle's performance may deteriorate, which will negatively affect not only driving performance, but also the wear of suspension elements.
Filed the springs
One of the most budget-friendly ways to lower the suspension is to shorten the springs by cutting off a certain number of turns. To carry out such an upgrade you will not need to buy anything. It is enough to arm yourself with a grinder. The procedure consists of dismantling the shock absorbers and springs, followed by the removal of 1.5–3 turns. You can cut off more, the car will become lower, but the suspension will practically not work. Therefore, such experiments should be carried out with caution.
When lowering the suspension from -50, you will need to cut the bump stops in half.

Reviews from car enthusiasts about lowering the Priora suspension
Suspension 2110, supports VAZ 2110, front shock absorbers Plaza Sport shortened -50 gas oil, rear Bilstein b8 gazmas, springs all around Eibach -45 pro kit. To be honest, Eibachs lower the front well, but the rear is almost like stock. I put standard and Eibach springs next to each other, the difference is a centimeter and a half. I didn’t like the fact that the rear didn’t sit down at all and I put the phobos back: they really lowered them - 50, although they were on the 12 and sagged a little. Therefore, I would like the front to be a little lower.

Understated. The racks around the SAAZ are ten-size, with shortened rods. In front there are TechnoRessor -90 springs, SS20 queen support springs (with a lowering of 1 cm), at the rear I cut off the original springs by 3 turns. The struts were pumped up for stiffness, because... the rod stroke is short. Bottom line, the car is a bouncer, it’s very rough, I feel every bump, a small wave - me and the sub in the trunk are bouncing.

On the original struts, put -30 in the rear, -70 in the front, it will lie flat. At first I set everything to -30, the rear was as it should be, the front was generally as it was, then I changed the front ones to -50 and still 2 cm higher than the rear.

The Demfi struts themselves are a bit harsh. I have a KX -90, the springs are TechnoRessor -90 and two more coils have been sawn off at the back. I drive and rejoice, low and soft.

Lowering a car suspension is not an amateur activity. However, if you decide to carry out this procedure with your Priora, you need to familiarize yourself with the possible options, choosing the most suitable one. It is advisable to entrust changes to the suspension to an experienced mechanic or use special kits for lowering the landing, which you can easily install yourself.

I have a friend who sells tuning at the market and says that Phobos, Klaxon, and Technores are all the same. minus 90 cost 2400, and the rear rods were cut by 10cm. It turned out low and soft
ok thank you very much, I already understood that.
come on, let me know how you do it
hmm what about the roads? most likely you have fairly good roads, since we have almost none in Orel
the worst roads in Kazakhstan in our city
and everything works fine, no knocks, no squeaks, how long have you been riding like this?
everything is perfect! I've been riding this way for half a year now! with stock if you compare it a little harshly at the beginning it’s not usual after stock then you get used to it the racks don’t break through
hmm what about the roads? most likely you have fairly good roads, since we have almost none in Orel
hmm interesting point, it seems to me that a lot still depends on the stock racks.
yes you can do that too
