The structure of any car is complex. Domestic models are no exception. VAZ cars, like others, may experience unexpected breakdowns.
Most often, they lead to the malfunction of all mechanisms, and sometimes to their failure altogether. Some car owners are faced with a problem - the VAZ 2110 8-valve injector does not start, the starter turns.
The causes of failure and repair will be discussed below.
Often this problem occurs due to a battery that has become unusable. However, if the battery is fully charged and in good condition, then the breakdown is not related to it.
Diagnostics using ODB-2 scanner
Since there are quite a few causes of the malfunction, it is initially worth carrying out a comprehensive diagnosis of the car. The fastest way to do this is with an ODB2 scanner.
Scan Tool Pro Black Edition
A special feature of Scan Tool Pro is the diagnostics of not only the engine, but also other vehicle components (gearboxes, abs, air conditioning systems, transmissions, etc.). The scanner is compatible with all models of the domestic automobile industry since 1993 and is designed specifically for the CIS market; it produces error codes with their interpretation in Russian. The scanner also shows the operation of all sensors in real time (including the crankshaft position sensor and mass air flow sensor)
Poor quality fuel
The first reason why a car has trouble starting when hot, the VAZ 2110 injector is often low-quality fuel.
The engine starts for a long time, but this does not bring any results. To eliminate this problem, you should change the fuel. A large number of additives has a bad effect on the engine:

Work on gas fuel
The gas system may malfunction after the car has been idle for a short time.
This is due to the fact that excess pressure is created in the tank due to gas expansion. As a result, the proportion of the air mixture and gas is disrupted. This creates difficulties when starting the engine when hot. Poor starting of the VAZ2110 engine when hot is a complex breakdown. If there is a clear reason, elimination is carried out with your own hands. But it's always possible. Often the breakdowns are not on the surface. To install them, special devices are required.

Why doesn't the engine start yet?
Another common cause is a clogged fuel filter. This usually happens due to the use of fuel that is not of very high quality. However, most often the owners themselves are to blame for this, as they do not consider it necessary to regularly replace them.
It will be useful: Installing silent locks on a VAZ-2107 with your own hands: preparation for work, necessary materials and tools, step-by-step instructions for installation
Poor throughput of this element provokes a decrease in pressure, which, in turn, prevents fuel from being properly sprayed through the injectors. A characteristic symptom of such a breakdown is the “sneezing” of the power plant.
In addition to the fuel filter, experts also advise changing the air filter.

Fuel pump failure
Often the VAZ 2110 injector does not start well when hot, due to overheating of the fuel pump. Moreover, the engine not only does not start, but stops while moving. This unit is cooled only by the cold fuel passing through it. In hot weather, the balance is disrupted. The fuel pump stops working.
In this case, you need to do the following:
If there is no cold water at hand, then the car should be placed in the shade and the hood should be opened. As soon as the car cools down, it will start immediately.
However, you should know that an overheated fuel pump must be replaced, since it will no longer work normally in the previous mode.
Battery malfunction
Loss of power from the battery is often the reason why the engine will not start. This assumption is confirmed by the red battery indicator located on the dashboard.
Fixing a breakdown in this situation is quite simple - you need to charge the battery. If it becomes unusable, the battery will have to be replaced with a new one.
You will also have to check all the terminals; perhaps some of them have oxidized or are simply not holding well, causing normal contact to be disrupted.
Crankshaft position sensor is not working properly
The reason why the car has difficulty starting when hot is the VAZ 2110 injector.
become a crankshaft position sensor. Its failure is associated with an increase in engine temperature. If this happens, then it urgently needs to be replaced, because if the sensor is faulty, the car will not work. This is due to the fact that there is incorrect information about the position of the crankshaft. As a result, the supply of the fuel mixture will be shifted.
You can replace this device at the station or yourself using a set of screwdrivers.
Possible reasons
Possible causes of motor failure may be:
Let us now consider them separately.
Accumulator battery
Even a novice driver should understand that it is impossible to start a car without power. Therefore, your first action should be to check the condition of the battery.
Battery
If the car does not want to start, lift the hood and look at the battery indicator. If it is red, this indicates the need to charge the battery.
After checking the condition of the battery and determining that it is not the cause of the problem, move on.
Fuel pump
Even if there is good starting current from the battery, the car may still not start. The likely source may be the fuel pump.
Problems with the mass air flow sensor
If the VAZ 2110 injector does not start well when hot, then this mass flow sensor
air is one of the first to be checked. The reason for its failure is the negative environment. Starting a hot engine is very difficult. Even if the car starts, the engine is unstable. When you press the gas pedal, it may choke or suddenly increase speed.
This is due to the fact that the proportion in the ratio: gasoline - air is violated. The sensor is responsible for providing this information.
VAZ 2110 Doesn't Start When Hot Reasons
Surely, anyone who owns a Russian “ten” has encountered such a problem when, after turning the ignition key, the engine refuses to start. Everyone knows that in the winter months it is quite difficult to start any car, since its engine cools down to the lowest possible temperature overnight. But what should you do if the VAZ-2110 does not start when hot in the warm season? Call a tow truck and go to a car service? Or maybe take the initiative into your own hands? We need to figure it out.
Battery condition
Since it is impossible to start a car without battery power, you should mainly look at its condition. When the VAZ-2110 does not start, first open the hood and check the battery indicator. If it is reddish as it should be, the battery needs to be charged. But what to do when the battery level is normal?
We would like to inform you about the fuel pump
If the VAZ-2110 (injector or carburetor) does not start, and the battery supplies a good starting current, you should find the source of trouble in the fuel equipment.
It often happens that the engine does not start due to the lack of gasoline in the system, which the pump has stopped pumping from the tank.
It is quite easy to diagnose its condition - if the spark plugs produce a spark, but the internal combustion engine does not start, then the problem lies specifically in this part. But it is not always the case.
Ingoda, the cause of all troubles is the camshaft and crankshaft sensors.
In fact, these are two similar devices, only one is placed on top, and the second on the bottom. Therefore, if you are faulty, you will like both this and this mechanism more. If your VAZ-2110 does not start, but the fuel system, starter and battery are working as expected, check the mentioned sensors for serviceability.
This is done, you, at 100, using a special scanner. But you can find the state of the device yourself. When the spark plugs do not produce sparks when you turn the ignition key, this indicates a malfunction of one of the two above-mentioned parts. True, it is not a fact that the breakdown will be hidden specifically in the sensors.
Maybe the candles themselves will not work.
Diesel operation
If a VAZ 2110 engine running on diesel fuel is difficult to start when hot, then the reason may lie in the high pressure fuel pump.
The following breakdowns occur:
Bushings and seals are worn. Due to this, there is a constant leak of air. As a result, the required pressure is not created in the plunger chamber. Replacement of bushings and seals is required. The injector pressure system sensor has failed. As a result, the fuel injection angle changes.
What to do if a VAZ-2111 with 8 and 16 valves does not start
Not a single mechanism can work properly forever; the VAZ-2111 also breaks down, and at the most inopportune time. What to do if the VAZ-2111 no longer starts, how to get it into working condition? The fact is that it is possible to fix a malfunction with your own hands - a domestic car involves mechanics, which allows you to do a lot that cannot be dealt with in foreign cars that run on “electronics”. Car enthusiasts and experts share little secrets on what to do to start a stalled VAZ-2111; it will only take you a quarter of an hour.

Accumulator battery
First of all, if you have difficulty starting the engine, check the battery charge. Low voltage and amperage are not enough to turn the starter, as a result of which the combustible mixture in the combustion chamber of the cylinders does not ignite.
Modern batteries make prevention much easier. Just open the hood and look at the color of the indicator in the battery. Good condition green, white - insufficient charge, red (orange) - low electrolyte level. Depending on the actual color of the indicator, make a decision on the advisability of replacing the battery and recharging it.
Old-style batteries, unlike new ones, have removable plugs - holes for filling electrolyte and distilled water. In the new type of battery, the plugs are non-removable. Whether this is good or bad, judge for yourself. As practice shows, there is often a need to measure the density of the electrolyte.
Gel batteries are a new type of lead-acid battery. Among motorists it is called maintenance-free. At the top of the structure there is a plastic valve for releasing excess gases, hydrogen.
A sealed battery is filled internally with a gel-type acid electrolyte. The service life of gel ones is 20–35% longer than their analogues. This was achieved by using pure lead in the mixture, as well as increasing the negative charge capacity.
The initial state of the gel is jelly-like and transparent. As you use it, the consistency darkens and thickens.
Having thoroughly checked the battery and made sure it is in good condition, we move on.
Fuel pump
The current and voltage in the network are sufficient, then pay attention to the fuel pump. There is not enough fuel in the system or there is no fuel at all, as a result of which the fuel does not ignite in the combustion chambers.
It is easy to check that the fuel pump is working properly; just make sure there is a spark in the spark plugs. We remove the cradles (coils) one by one and unscrew the spark plugs.
All spark plugs are functional, but the engine cranks but does not start - a faulty fuel pump with a 99% probability.
Crankshaft and camshaft sensors
The first is located at the top and the second at the bottom of the engine. Diagnostics is performed independently, if you have experience. Otherwise, contact the service station for help. The inspection will not take long, no more than half an hour.
Spark plug
The absence of a spark is a clear sign of failure of the spark plugs. During operation, spark plugs become covered with carbon deposits and soot and require periodic maintenance and replacement with new ones.
Signaling
Regardless of the quality and modification of the security system, breakdowns occur frequently. The most common is that the ignition system is blocked, as a result of which the engine cannot start.
In this case, it is necessary to turn off the alarm by all available means. Of course, if you know how to handle it correctly, otherwise visit a service station.

Topic: Won't start again when hot
Hi all! QUESTION IMMEDIATELY. Recently, in the same topic Do not start hot, they wrote to swap the DPKV wires. Which wires need to be swapped?
And I'll tell you my story:
VAZ 21102, manufactured in 2001, engine 1.5 8kl, ECU January 5.1, mileage 350,000, capital was made a long time ago.
When the coolant temperature is above 80 degrees, it is difficult to drive the car, sometimes impossible. Cold (

Re: Once again it won't start when hot
Once you changed all the sensors except the ignition module, such crap remained, but only at an internal combustion engine temperature >80″. And when you connect this plasmar, which supplies a spark to the spark plugs, the car starts. And the module may not work when it’s hot, it’s dying quietly (they have something like that). I advise you to change the ignition module, but first check it on your car. But it’s just not clear why everything worked fine for you when you replaced the ECU.

Re: Once again it won't start when hot
Yesterday I changed this damn module. No result. Everything remained as it was.
So I don’t understand what the ECU has to do with it. And why did the car ride on it for a bit, and then everything became the same again? It feels like something has gone wrong in the new ECU too. Just the firmware, etc. don't help.
The injector does not start on a hot VAZ 2110
I dropped the topic about poor engine starting when it was hot (this happened from the moment I bought the car and throughout the year).
I have heard more than once that some VAZ (injection) engines have poor starting when hot. People went as far as replacing the fuel pump, buying heat shields, replacing generator pulleys, RTDs, ignition modules, etc. and so on.
Indeed, if gasoline begins to boil in the ramp (a vapor lock is created) and the ignition mixture will not be prepared in the right proportions to start the engine.
On carburetor engines, after prolonged driving and stopping (it is enough to open the air filter housing) to cool the carburetor itself and the manifold.
If the fuel pump is at fault, put a wet cloth on it (to cool it down).
If it is an RTD, it bleeds (does not hold) gasoline from the ramp into the tank after stopping. It then requires more fuel to ignite.
The ignition module is screwed to the cylinder block and heats up along with it (electricians don’t like this) - hence the bad spark.
Everything turned out to be much simpler for me - I swapped the wires reading the pulses from the crankshaft pulley. Now there are no problems with hot starting.
- practicality;
- reliability;
- unpretentiousness;
- excellent handling.
Also very popular are cars of this modification, which have an injector and 8 valves. At the same time, it should be recognized that the VAZ-2110 also has a number of quite significant shortcomings.
The main problem remains the relatively short service life of the power plant.
Thus, several years after buying a car, one significant problem arises - the car is sometimes difficult to start.
It should be recognized that most often such a malfunction occurs precisely during the cold season of the year. During this period, many motorists almost every day are forced to spend a lot of effort and nerves in order to start the car. That is, we can say with confidence that in winter the problem is common.
However, owners often also complain that their VAZ-2110 does not start quickly even when it is hot. In the first case, as a rule, a poorly starting engine does not at all indicate that there is a serious breakdown.
In the summer, the inability to move the car often signals some significant defect.
Probable Causes
If the car starts poorly or takes a long time (after several attempts), the problem is most likely in the gasoline pump.
In this situation, it should be recalled that even when the working engine is turned off, pressure is maintained in the fuel supply system. This is ensured by check valves located in the pump.
However, if one of them does not work properly - after turning off the power plant, the pressure drops quite quickly.
Brake fluid reservoir
In addition, this type of malfunction also occurs due to a breakdown of the fuel pressure regulator. As a result, at the moment when the crankshaft begins to rotate after activation of the starter, the motor does not react, since it needs time to build up pressure. It is for this reason that the engine does not start immediately.
Sometimes a hot car won't start at all. First of all, you should suspect a violation of the integrity of the wiring. If there is insufficient voltage, the starter simply will not be able to work. Here, most likely, you will need to replace the relay in it.
