Changing the oil in the VAZ 2015 and 2014 gearboxes is no different and follows the same steps.

Don't worry if you don't know how much oil to put in your car. The capacity of the barrel is small, and no more than three liters of oil are usually enough for a single fill. It is worth noting that if you do not fill the box with oil for four years and do not drive it, then after this period it will have to be changed in any case. Step-by-step instructions for changing the oil in a VAZ

In order to fill the gearbox in a VAZ 2114, you need to prepare the necessary equipment in advance. It is better to pour in places where you don’t mind getting the floor dirty, because some of the liquid runs out during the pouring process. For the VAZ 2114 gearbox you will need a funnel and a long, thin hose, at least fifty centimeters. The gearbox oil must be warm, just like the car itself, so you should warm it up in advance. Then you should drain the oil from the box so as not to mix their components.

We drain it using the same tube and a small suction. It is better to throw out the old oil; it has already served its purpose and is no longer useful.

Each technical passport of the machine indicates how much oil is in the box and what the volume of the barrel is. Fill in as many liters at once as indicated there, so as not to have to do this procedure again in a short time.

In the VAZ 2114 box there is a small breather closed with a rubber cap. It needs to be removed, and it is recommended to clean them well. Before pouring lubricating fluid into the VAZ 2115 box, you should check its balance. How much oil is in the VAZ 2115 gearbox

The indicator of the amount of substance in the gearbox in no way affects the overall level of reliability of the unit, but only speaks about the design features of its structure and device. In mechanical units, in comparison with automatic ones, this indicator is always lower by several orders of magnitude, precisely due to the peculiarities of their design. The volume of VAZ 2115 gearbox oil is 1.4 liters. Accordingly, for a complete change of substance in the crankcase you will need about 2.2 liters, for a partial replacement only about 0.7 liters.
